    Benefits Outsourcing — Selecting, Contracting and Managing Service Partners


    Take the Guesswork out of Outsourcing

    This course covers the steps for selecting, contracting and managing primarily benefits service partners, with application to other areas of HR and total rewards. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss issues that arise when deciding whether outsourcing a particular function is appropriate for the organization. In addition, the course addresses which type of service partner a company may need, what performance expectations are appropriate and how to know if a service partner’s resources and expertise are appropriate for the organization’s needs.

    • Gain an understanding of the types of outsourcing.
    • Learn about service partner selection, examining the situations and needs that drive selection, the processes for identifying suitable service partners and the methodologies for evaluating them.
    • Find out how to work with consultants, brokers and service partners to design a benefits plan.
    • Learn the steps involved in negotiating and finalizing a contract, once a suitable service partner is identified.
    • Learn tips for terminating and re-bidding if the decision is made to end the service partner relationship.

    • Recognizing the four level measurements and the quantitative concepts in HR.
    • Finding, collecting, analyzing and accurately displaying statistical data in the most effective way.
    • Understanding the relevant application of various statistical tools.
    • Introduction to increasingly used advanced statistics for decision making, including regression analysis.

    This course is part of the CCP and GRP certifications. It is designed for the HR professional seeking a foundational understanding of statistics in compensation management with responsibility in the area of compensation design.

    This course examines the methods and processes that support job analysis, job documentation and job evaluation in order to attract and retain effective talent. You'll cover various methods of job evaluation including quantitative and market-based approaches. Exercises help you see how the methods outlined in the course can be put into practice in your organization.

    • Review strategic concepts associated with job analysis, documentation and evaluation.
    • Learn how to approach job analysis planning and implementation.
    • Discuss job documentation and the necessary components and format for job descriptions.
    • Examine market-based and content-based job evaluations with a focus on quantitative and nonquantitative approaches.
