Cara Welch Esq., Director of Public Policy, WorldatWork

ICBA is pleased to welcome Cara Woodson Welch, the Director of Public Policy for WorldatWork who is responsible for anticipating and addressing regulations and legislation that could affect total rewards and human resources professionals in the United States and around the globe.  Welch has 17 years experience in public policy and government affairs and is a member of the DC Bar.  Prior to joining WorldatWork, she served as general counsel and vice president of advocacy at the Design-Build Institute of America in Washington, D.C. Cara also writes regular columns for workspan, the award-winning WorldatWork membership publication.  She also writes a blog titled “Public Policy Perceptions” found at www.worldatwork.org/blogs.

Cara will speak on:
• Current public policy impacting Total Rewards
• Key Total Rewards “hot topics”
• What to expect from the Obama Administration and Congress in 2010/2011
• Updates on potential bills and regulations impacting compensation
• Potential changes in executive compensation, pay equity, 401(k) plans, paid time off and health care reform
